That began his passion for the trade which led to his desire to be well read on plastering materials and techniques as well as strive to master long forgotten plastering skills.
Since then Thom has worked with virtually every type of plaster including rare applications which include historical brownstone renovation, scagliola, cast ornamental plaster as well as decorative lime finishes.

Mission
Statement
This well founded statement has been passed down to tradesmen through the centuries.
- He that works with his hands is a Laborer
- He that works with his hands and his mind is a Craftsman
- He that works with his hands and his mind and his heart is an Artist
As a reslult when you look at a tradesmans work you can usually tell if that person "cared". When a persons heart is involved in thier work; they do things that perhaps no one else would ever notice. What drives them isn't the money they make or the recognition; it strictly involves thier inner pride and statisfaction. This quality differentiates true artists from mere professionals. Discerning architects, designers, contractors and homeowners who themselves take pride in thier work and possessions search high and low for these types of workers and highly value thier services.
We at the Home Plaster Shop strive to be that type of contractor to all of our customers.
